Phillipines (Manila) June 2017 D-2

Day 2 (Monday 19/6/2017)

Public Transport: For our entire visit in Manila, we used Jeepneys & LRT or MRT trains to take us to various touristy places. In two occasions, we used only taxis for convenience & short distance travel.

Metro Manila has 1 MRT line & 2 LRT lines (Line 1 & Line 2). At any hours nearer to the urban downtown areas especially during the morning & after office hours, the 3 lines are very congested so be prepared for some discomfort or long queues when boarding the trains. In June, it normally rains in the late afternoon, so bring along a small umbrella which will be handy to use.

MRT & LRT Trains

LRT Taft > United Nations station - PHP15 (Rm1.35)

Jeepneys - most common mean of transport in Manila, cheap & efficient, PHP8 (Rm0.72) per ride for short distance travels in Metro & downtown Manila areas

PHP8 per ride in Metro Manila
Each vehicle carries 16-20 passengers,
